Using current basic prices as a benchmark, authorities estimated that Guyana could earn approximately US $7,792,800,000 by the end of this year. This amount will represent a 55 percent increase over last year’s revenues totaling US $4,352,000,000.

Guyana’s earnings in 2021 were primarily driven by oil export returns, which increased by 179.6 percent to US $2,975.5 million [US $2.9 billion] due to increases in both volume and price.
